Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Serve on the Customer data protection team which provides the ability to escrow user keys which safely encrypt the user’s private data. Lead the security ceremonies which require understanding of the administrative and operational roles of the high security module (HSM), running the SEE (secure execution environment) code on the HSM, to create cryptographic keys. Plan for capacity and compute by making use of traffic patterns, looking for peak usage and creating work units which would be able to securely decrypt user keys. Create and maintain build pipelines in CI/CD which would enable automated building and deploying of code in testing and in production environments. Lead the control plane UX design and evangelize the same to partners and guide the team in the implementation of UI components using nodeJS, CSS, Typescript with usability, authentication/authorization, multi-party approval, safe coding at the core of the design. Lead the evolution of the control plane to handle long running pipelines with the same security precepts. Lead the build and deploy of the UI components across geographies. Contribute to highly available services which serve billions of Apple devices in the safe encryption and storage of user keys and making them available to the user only. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $149,365 - $220,900/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Experience and/or education must include:

Leading Live Cryptographic Security Ceremonies to ensure the security of the keys used to protect user data.

Working with cross functional teams on review and acceptance of security processes.

Administering Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) understanding capabilities like FIPS 140-2, as well as quorum capabilities of the HSM to securely run code in secure execution environment and creating keys which cannot be modified without the quorum.

Developing and Validating Privacy-Preserving Compute Infrastructure in Java and Python.

Designing Secure, Full-Stack Operational Control Planes for the CDP infrastructure in nodeJS, CSS, or Typescript.

Engineering Automation for Secure, Large-Scale Service Delivery using CI/CD pipelines, adhering to branch cut and code freeze.

Contributing to large scale and highly available service which serves the device traffic of Apple and serves in securely escrowing the keys of the user.

Running highly available server software written in Java.

Clarifying requirements, thinking critically of the applicability of these requirements, working to achieve consensus on the implementation in the team and if needed across multiple teams.
