The Role
This role is responsible for supporting sales infrastructure, systems setup, and operational processes during critical ramp-up and transition periods for our Asia Pacific Pipeline Hotels. The position focuses on the tactical execution of sales systems, account management processes, market research, and sales operations to support commercial success and organizational objectives.

This individual works closely with internal commercial teams to build and maintain accurate sales databases, complete account and market research profiles, manage RFP processes, and support the execution of strategic sales initiatives. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of sales systems, reporting tools, and operational processes.

Key responsibilities include supporting negotiated transient and group sales efforts through research, account setup, and sales platform administration. The role leverages Envision, Cvent, Amadeus, and other sales tools to maintain account integrity, support pipeline activity, and ensure operational readiness during ramp-up and transition periods.

This position is instrumental in establishing the operational foundation for sales success by ensuring all account data, reporting structures, research tools, and sales systems are accurate, complete, and aligned with commercial objectives.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Partner with internal teams including Commercial O&C, Commercial Strategy, Hyatt Sales Force, and National Sales to support commercial initiatives and operational execution.
  • Complete and maintain Market Research workbooks to support account targeting, market analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Build and manage sales account profiles within internal and external sales platforms, ensuring account data is accurate and up to date.
  • Complete transient RFP submissions and support the negotiated account process for assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Utilize Hyatt’s Envision and CSM sales platforms to create and maintain account profiles, qualifiers, and account intelligence.
  • Support the setup, organization, and maintenance of sales systems, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify target accounts, market trends, and business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, account production, and pipeline updates within Hyatt’s sales systems.
  • Prepare reports, sales documentation, and account research to support business development and commercial initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates on account setup progress, RFP activity, and sales operations initiatives.
  • Utilize internal dashboards and reporting tools to monitor account activity, data accuracy, and operational readiness.
  • Support ongoing process improvements related to sales systems, account management, and transition workflows.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in a centralized, multi-property, or above-property environment.
  • Deep understanding of the group and corporate transient segments.
  • Proficient in Hyatt’s Envision, CSM, and Cvent Transient platforms or equivalent CRM/RFP tools.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple hotel stakeholders and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility ramp-up environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required

Experience Preferred:

  • Prefer a candidate who is Bi-lingual with Mandarin.
  • Prefer a candidate who resides on the West Coast
  • Experience with hotel openings, transitions, or ramp performance is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Hyatt’s commercial ecosystem and regional sales structure.
  • Ability to work independently and in an agile environment, while thriving in a collaborative, matrixed team.

The salary range for this position is $110,000-$118,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
