Come join our TJX family—a Fortune 100 company and the world’s leading off-price retailer.   Job Description: Job Summary:   Responsible for the upkeep and repair of the equipment, building, and grounds. Responsibilities include electrical, HVAC, conveyor, powered industrial equipment, and life safety equipment. Coordinates with local contractors and vendors.      Major Areas of Responsibility    Oversees all work and demonstrates SME (Subject Matter Expert) levels of knowledge on all MHE (Material Handling Equipment) in the building   Manage site projects as needed   Aligns priorities and workload scheduling with operational leaders to support production goals   Coordinates with local contractors / vendors for equipment services as required and ensures contract compliance   Coordinates daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of equipment.   Obtains services for repairs and maintenance of the facility’s equipment   Ensures timely and accurate completion of reports and recordkeeping requirements   Ensure all vendor work is completed, at budget, and verified prior to approval or sign-off    Understand and drives budget requirements Key Responsibilities   Conduct routine building walks across all assigned facilities to proactively identify repair needs, deferred maintenance, and safety concerns.   Assess interior and exterior building conditions, dock equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, racking, life safety systems, and exterior conditions.   Prioritize repair work based on operational impact and safety risk.   Develop repair plans and escalate significant structural or capital concerns to the Facilities Manager.   Maintain a rolling log of facility deficiencies and corrective action plans.   3PL Partnership & Safety Collaboration   Serve as the primary facilities liaison to the 3PL leadership team   Partner with TJX and 3PL operations to maintain safe working conditions and ensure building and regulatory compliance   Identify, address, and resolve safety-related building issues (dock plates, lighting, trip hazards, guardrails, fire lanes, etc.)   Participate in routine safety walks and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions   Support OSHA compliance, fire/life safety standards, and applicable local codes   Promote a culture of shared ownership and accountability for building safety, upkeep, and overall appearance         Describe the kinds of decisions made by the incumbent (e.g., hire/fire, technical decisions, markdowns, merchandise pricing/selection).  Also, specify what recommendations are referred to the next level of management or others for approval.   Responsible for the upkeep and repair of the equipment, building and grounds. Responsibilities specifically include electrical, HVAC, conveyor, powered industrial equipment, life safety equipment.
