Virtual Battle Space and Simulator Trainer
The Opportunity:

Are you a trainer who is passionate about developing differentiated instruction and delivering it in exciting ways? You know that learning styles vary, and you thrive in helping soldiers grasp new information. Bring your passion for developing and delivering an array of training to our team.

As a trainer on our team, you'll help provide training on the Virtual Battle Space (VBS) system and various simulation platforms, for U.S. Army soldiers who are getting ready to impact real-world missions and operations. You'll expand your technical expertise and industry knowledge and collaborate to devise creative solutions for mission-critical problems. You'll apply your knowledge and skills to assist with planning and providing virtual training for Army soldiers, including at home station and by packing up the VBS suite or other various simulation platforms, managing the loading or unloading into a vehicle, and training at the unit's location. You'll ensure continuity and expertise, creating a holistic training pathway to enable awareness and effective use of virtual training assets to support the Commander. You'll create, develop, and deliver virtual scenarios that help train the soldiers to increase readiness and meet the Commander's training requirements. You'll transport training equipment sets across the central-portion area of the U.S. to support trainings. You'll also collaborate with experts in other departments to shape the capabilities you offer.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience as a soldier in the DoD
  • Ability to load cases up to 50 lbs. into a vehicle to support off-site training requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid U.S. issued driver's license
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with VBS or other Games for Training (GFT) systems
  • Experience with weapon systems such as M16 or M4 rifle, M17, M240, M249, M2, and MK19 Crew Served Weapons, and ring mounted operations
  • Experience with Unit Training Management (UTM) and Vantage to support the development of training plans
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Knowledge of Table II qualifications for Individual Weapons Assigned
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
