Title: Senior Textile Graphic Designer Location: Dallas, TX United States Corporate Positions 8654 Hybrid Job Description: Overview Sr. Textile Designer JCP Art Studio J.C. Penney Company, Inc. Plano, Texas The Sr. Textile Designer leads the JCPenney Art Studio Team in Primary Responsibilities: GENERATING BRAND & TREND LEADING ART: Create art that supports the concept and seasonal direction put forth by the Sr. Design Director and Art Directors for each brand. Ensure the art is aligned to the Design Team and Business Unit needs and that it is pushing relevant print & graphics trends that are brand right. INSTITUTING NEW & EVOLVED ART TECHNIQUES, TECHNOLOGIES & PROCESSES: Work to evolve our JCPenney Art Studio by championing and teaching new art techniques to the studio team members. Work with the Sr. Design Director to test and implement new technology, tools and processes that can help our teams be more efficient and affective. SUPPORT PATTERN, PRINT & EMBELLISHMENT TREND: Forecast print & pattern trends, and techniques through creating presentations that translate the information to the team and key partners. SUPPORT ON-BOARDING, MENTORING AND GROWING ART STUDIO TALENT & BUILD BENCHSTRENGTH: Be the "on-boarding" partner to new hires and help them understand our processes, technologies, and JCPenney Art Studio way of crafting art throughout all phases of development. Help engage and mentor Art Studio Team and DSS Team members. Create standards and tools that help teach tips and tricks to make artwork better and the process more fun and fulfilling. SUPPORT ENTERPRISE & GLOBAL CALENDARS AND ART STANDARDS: Supports the coordination, scheduling, and cross functional team touchpoints to establish timelines, review program needs, ensure legal compliance, and release files to prevent delivery delays. Supports criteria, standards, processes for use by the department to ensure seamless execution across cross-functional teams. SUPPORT ART & NEED FORECASTING: Helps to evaluate the Design Teams' assortment trends to ensure we are well staffed and structured to support the needs of the business. Manages their own portfolio of work and available time. Identifies and develops quick response processes to address the fast turns and speed to market needs of products addressing white space and market share opportunities. SUPPORT ENTERPRISE EXEC & PARTNER ALIGNMENT: Partners with Design, Trend, Brand Strategy, Customer insights team, Product Development, Design, Merchandising, Merchandise Sourcing, Marketing, and Customer Strategy/Partnerships. Familiar with textile print production manufacturing, machinery, processes, and graphic/print/pattern technical knowledge. 8+ Years of Experience in Print & Pattern Crafting, some experience in Creative Direction, and working with leadership within an organization required.
