About the Role

As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Reddit, you will have the opportunity to analyze and determine the accounting treatment for new revenue arrangements and products, collaborate cross-functionally, and develop and maintain scalable revenue recognition processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close Processes: Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and provide month-end close expectations.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare monthly motion analysis for management review.
  • Audit Support: Prepare audit support for external and internal audits.
  • Process Improvements: Initiate and lead process improvements to streamline revenue processes and shorten close timelines.
  • Accounting Treatment: Analyze and determine the accounting treatment for new revenue arrangements and products.
  • Integration of New Revenue Streams: Support the integration of new revenue streams into our current processes.
  • System Implementations: Support system implementations and test framework changes related to revenue processes.
  • Accounting Policies and Procedures: Identify opportunities, assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and implement internal control systems (SOX) in areas of responsibility.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build effective relationships and work cross-functionally across the organization.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reporting on an as-needed basis.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience: 4+ years of intermediate accounting experience in the marketing technology/media industry; ideally, a public/private industry combination.
  • Education: Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA: CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • GAAP and ASC 606: Strong knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply ASC 606 required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce is an plus.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and success skills with high attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact cooperatively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive and Independent: Proactive, independent individual with the ability to multitask and think creatively.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results and succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
