About the position

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs. This position will be embedded with the client, and will be required to be located in Atlanta, GA, with at least 3 days a week in either client or Octagon offices. The Senior Account Executive will assist in the day-to-day sponsorship execution for Octagon’s global airline client across multiple Atlanta and Seattle-based sports & entertainment properties. In this role you will be supporting the client in Atlanta, as well as the remote Senior Account Managers, Account Manager and other Senior Account Executives in the development and execution of all property planning, activation and programming as delegated. The ideal candidate will develop strong client and partner relationships, delivering thorough reporting along with successful and valuable program activations, and consistently implementing the program plan with all existing properties. Familiarity with the client’s assets across its properties is expected. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a reliable agency contact for client sponsorship team and internal cross functional client teams
  • Day-to-day support of multiple Atlanta and Seattle-based sports properties including asset management (i.e., audit compliance, ticket allocations, and financial tracking)
  • Assist the account team in the execution of campaigns for select properties
  • Prepare activity summaries and reports indicating results and recommended enhancements
  • Assist in creating formal documentation for projects (i.e., status reports, budgets, and presentations)
  • Assist with copy, image and Intellectual Property approvals with select partners, sponsorship and brand teams
  • Liaise with agency partners on all campaigns where assigned
  • Support identification of new activation opportunities, industry trends, and new partnership evaluations
  • Maintain and update specs and timeline calendar and image database for all creative assets
  • Track and assist in managing sponsorship payment and renewal schedule with client contacts
  • Support budget tracking and timely reporting
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in related field
  • Strong understanding of sports sponsorship space
  • Capacity to become knowledgeable on our client’s industry, brand, and product offering
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under strict timelines and as part of a team
  • Detail oriented and strong organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate work (self-starter)
  • A “pitch in”, “roll up your sleeves” approach and work ethic
  • Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner in environments with high profile members of the brand and properties
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel: Moderate (20-45%)

  • Property management experience is a strong plus
