<p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p><b>TITLE</b>: Platform and Solution Architects Manager</p><p></p><p><b>DUTIES</b>: <b>DUTIES</b>: BorgWarner PDS (USA) Inc. seeks a Platform and Solution Architects Manager based out of our office at 3800 Automation Avenue, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. This position requires international and domestic travel, as needed, up to 10%.</p><p></p><p>Manage the platform team of 5 – 10 engineers locally in the region. Act as a technical liaison between the local team and the global lead site. Manage the technical development program of embedded platform software for complex Power Electronic control modules. Support and coordinate architecture and software design, specification of technical features, unit testing, verification, integration, and validation processes. Lead resource management/recruitment, mentoring/coaching/career development and performance evaluation. Monitor project deliverables and customer satisfaction – Schedule, Risks, Quality, and project commitments. Develop the software team by providing technical direction, conducting regular technical project reviews, and taking appropriate corrective actions. Elicit information on Business growth needs on market trends and technology and support in the definition of platform roadmap. Roll-out growth/platform initiatives from the roadmap to the regional projects. Identify, report, and work with a cross functional team to resolve blocking issues efficiently. Identify and execute architectural and design improvements. Support full life cycle SW development including project scope definition, estimation, delivery timing, and project tracking. Support internal and external quality initiatives. Research, evaluate, and benchmark industry standards and methodologies, looking forward to a continuous improvement on the deliveries to the platform software. Foster strong cross-functional partnership and prioritize workload demands to meet project deadlines. Collaborate with various internal partners for continuous improvement of the software release process and results.</p><p></p><p><b>REQUIREMENTS: </b>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Automotive Engineering and 96 months of experience in the job offered or related. Experience must include: 8 (eight) years of experience with automotive embedded Software development based on AUTOSAR architecture-MCAL, BSW, configuration tools from Vector/Mentor/EB Tresos etc. and methodology; 5 (five) years of experience in driving software development process through root cause analysis; 5 (five) years of experience with low level driver design, development, debugging, and test; 5 (five) years of experience using Agile development methodologies as well as CMM/SPICE/ISO 26262; 5 (five) years of experience using industry standard development tools - e.g. tool-chains, IDEs, configuration management etc. such as Polarion, JIRA, Plastic etc; 5 (five) years of experience bringing integrated software/hardware products from the early development phase to production.
