Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Investment Operations Coordinator to join our team and drive excellence in our investment management processes. Must have SIE, Series 7 and 66 (or comparable licensing). In this role, you will be the backbone of our operational functions, ensuring seamless execution of investment transactions, compliance with regulatory standards, and adherence to financial best practices. Your proactive approach and strong financial acumen will support the integrity of our investment activities, enabling us to deliver exceptional value to our clients and stakeholders. Duties

  • Coordinate and process investment transactions, including purchases, sales, transfers, and distributions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and verify trade settlements, cash flows, and account reconciliations across multiple financial software platforms.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all investment activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as SEC requirements.
  • Assist in regulatory reporting by preparing documentation related to securities law and governmental accounting standards.
  • Support fraud prevention and detection initiatives by reviewing transactions for suspicious activity and implementing controls aligned with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits of investment portfolios, cash management accounts, and corporate accounting records to identify discrepancies or potential risks.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations affecting financial services, including securities law changes and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing detailed documentation on investment operations processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to operational workflows and financial software systems.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field is required; advanced certifications such as CFA or CPA are a plus.
  • Proven experience in investment management operations or a similar financial services role is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including securities law, GAAP, SOX compliance, governmental accounting, and regulatory reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with financial software platforms used in investment operations is essential.
  • Knowledge of cash management procedures, banking operations, and corporate accounting practices is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with fraud prevention techniques within the context of investment operations enhances your effectiveness in this role.
