Job Summary

We're seeking a part-time, remote Chat Moderator to join our team on a flexible schedule. As a Chat Moderator, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Discord server remains a positive and respectful space for all users. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team, contribute to our mission, and gain valuable experience in community management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Moderate the Discord Server: Monitor and manage user activity, ensuring that all interactions align with our community guidelines and rules.
  • Enforce Community Guidelines: Delete messages, ban users, and mute individuals who violate our rules, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all users.
  • Investigate Reports: Review user reports, gather information, and take necessary actions to resolve issues and prevent future incidents.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with our community management team to stay up-to-date on best practices, share knowledge, and contribute to the growth of our community.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of moderation actions, reports, and user interactions, providing valuable insights for future improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful as a Chat Moderator with The Mayeaux Foundation, you will need:

  • Age and Education: Be at least 18 years old and possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with users in a clear, concise, and respectful manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately assess situations, identify issues, and take necessary actions.
