Job Purpose The District Sales & Service Manager position will execute all business development and sales activities at the company’s key light vehicle customers as assigned. This position is located remotely (home office) and will be integral in establishing and implementing product sales strategies within the assigned territory of Upper East Coast U.S. (New York or surrounding area- based). This person will support sales of existing core products and identify new product and technical programs to catalyze profitable growth for Dana at Light Vehicle Aftermarket customer locations. Job Duties and Responsibilities The District Sales and Service Manager will have key responsibilities in driving the successful and profitable growth of the company’s current and future products in the light vehicle segment with Retailers and Warehouse Distributors within the assigned territory (East U.S.). This person will have distinct and measurable responsibilities as follows: - Grow, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with retail and traditional aftermarket locations within an assigned territory. - Individual contributor role managing multi-state territory. - Promotes products/solutions to both direct and indirect customers. - Develop/maintain technical competency for Dana products. - Manage key retail location relationships on an assigned basis working directly with national account manager. - Maintain current knowledge of competitor activities and changes in market. - Represent voice-of-the-customer within Dana and responsible for customer metrics. - Develop sales strategy and objectives to achieve goals as defined in assigned KPIs. - Drive results with aftermarket customers (retailers, distributors, technicians/service providers, other) - Make product presentations to purchasing, sales, and other customer representatives. - Respond to customer requests for day-to-day requirements. - Partner with internal Dana teams (product, pricing, engineering, marketing, finance, training) to achieve growth objectives. - Executes on marketing and new product launches provided by leadership. - Performs all other duties as assigned Education and Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering or Related Field preferred - 5+ years in aftermarket light vehicle or similar industry sales and business development with proven results and success in building customer relationships and negotiation - Knowledge and understanding of driveline products as related to Light Vehicle Industry - Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time as needed with the ability to work non-traditional business hours - Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills Skills and Competencies - Must be well organized and able to operate independently with minimal guidance on scheduling. - Prioritize visits/strategy based on opportunity size/return. - Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment. - Work independently and efficiently. - Must be able to demonstrate strong sales and negotiation skills. - Ability to maintain high commitment to customer service while executing multiple project priorities. - Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills - Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to work with people in pressure situations. - Strong leadership qualities - Strong presentation skills - Ability to work in a team environment and independently - Demonstrated ability to drive work and achieve results We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
