About the position

Pizza Hut is seeking an Associate Manager of Control who will provide accounting support to the Control function for the Pizza Hut business unit. In this role, you will drive impact through thoughtful partnership with the PH Division Controller to lead the consolidation and reporting processes for the Pizza Hut Brand. As the Pizza Hut Division Associate Manager, you will work with a broad group of people including global field finance teams and senior management. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced and changing environment. This role supports critical financial processes, fosters collaboration across international teams, and contributes to the integrity of Yum Brands’ global financial reporting. As well as having the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks, be extremely organized, flexible, and willing to assume responsibility for special projects as they arise. You will be required to attend the Louisville, KY office three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the PH division monthly/period and quarterly consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Partner with Global Shared Service teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting of Pizza Hut results, providing guidance on accounting, schedules, and validations.
  • Provide accounting support Division Planning teams to resolve accounting issues in PH markets or Division HQ.
  • Partner with the Division Controller and other stakeholders to resolve accounting matters and roll out new reporting changes (as applicable).
  • Work alongside the Division Controller to support analysis of results and preparation of reporting to YUM and Division leadership teams.
  • Prepare and/or review all key quarterly deliverables including the Division Balance Sheet Book, MD&A, Division and YUM CFO Close Decks, and representation letters.
  • Participate in quarterly review meetings with Control leadership and Division finance teams.
  • Supervise the timely completion of the monthly closing processes for PH Intl HQ and ensure G&A results are recorded timely and accurately.
  • Ad hoc special projects or additional responsibilities which may include analysis over Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG) and temporary store closures and coordinating annual impairment testing for all markets.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Accounting or B.S. in Finance if candidate has significant accounting experience.
  • 5+ years’ accounting experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience
  • In office, 3 days a week (Tuesday – Thursday)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), JDE, Blackline and Microsoft products
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Public accounting firm or public company corporate accounting experience
  • CPA or active CPA candidate
