Powered by passionate people, we bring the right teams with the right skills together – offering both experience and regional expertise so companies can operate their day to day, confidently and successfully.<br><br><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>WHAT’S THE JOB?<br><br>Based in a world‑class Dexterra camp facility, the Baker’s Assistant supports the bakery operation by assisting with the preparation and baking of fresh goods to the highest Dexterra standards.<br><br>Reporting to the Baker,this role focuses on hands‑on production, quality control, and sanitation, ensuring a consistent supply of high‑quality baked goods to support daily meal service<br><br>YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE<br><br><ul><li>Assisting the Baker with preparing and baking goods from scratch</li><li>Following approved recipes, menus, and product directions when preparing baked goods</li><li>Restocking pastry shelves and maintaining a sufficient, fresh, and well‑presented supply of baked goods</li><li>Ensuring the quality of baked goods and desserts meets Dexterra standards</li><li>Supporting consistent food quality in accordance with client requirements, including special dietary considerations</li><li>Complying with all food hygiene and Food Safety regulations</li><li>Cleaning, washing, and sanitizing bakery equipment, tools, and overall work areas</li><li>Assisting with proper storage, labelling, and rotation of baked products</li><li>Supporting the Baker and culinary team with additional duties as required<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong>WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?<br><br><ul><li>Bakery or food service experience</li><li>Food Safety Certification</li><li>Ability to maintain quality and consistency in a high‑volume production setting</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness</li><li>Team‑oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take direction<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information<br><br></strong>Dexterra is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
